Quantic Forms (2025 ongoing) is an ongoing sculptural project by Marcos Lutyens that draws inspiration from Thought-Forms (1901) by Annie Besant. Working from brief hypnotic trance states, Lutyens allows forms to arise from the unconscious, experienced as energetic, emotional, or mental configurations rather than representational images. These interior perceptions are translated directly into clay, shaped and glazed to follow the textures, structures, and chromatic qualities as they were internally envisioned.
The works are described as quantic in the sense that they are not conceived as expressions of a singular, subjectified psyche, but as manifestations of a distributed, entangled field of consciousness—forms that emerge through the artist yet are understood to belong to a shared, relational continuum rather than an individual interior alone.
